Getting Involved

Church planting

We are actively recruiting suitable men called by God to plant churches in Scotland. If God is calling you to work with us then you will have a heart for Scotland, a clear vision for church planting and a commitment to Biblical doctrine as expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith. You will be engaged in or have completed theological training.

Candidates first meet with the selection sub group of Reformission Scotland. On being recommended by the group they then go forward to a church planter assessment school run by the ARP.  There is also a rigorous set of presbytery exams leading to licensing as a preacher of the gospel by the ARP. Email us at info@reformissionscotland.com to find out more.

Men who are already ordained and wish to join Reformission Scotland as church planters would come under the authority of the ARP church and would also sit presbytery exams and be evaluated at church planter selection school.

Interns

Working along with our church planters will be an apprentice/intern. This would be someone who has some training/experience in Christian ministry and who works part time with the church planter to gain experience before or while undertaking theological studies.

Core Group

There are various models of church planting. We are committed to our church planters establishing a core group of committed believers who build vision and community together before proceeding to the work of evangelism and regular Sunday services. If you are interested in being involved at this level then please contact us at info@reformissionscotland.com

We are currently working in Edinburgh and hope to begin core groups in other centres in the near future.

Financial Support

We are dependent on outside support until the church plants become financially self supporting. If you can help please contact us at info@reformissionscotland.com and we can provide gift aid forms.
