Commitments & Ethos

Our Commitments

We are committed to the historic, Reformed, Christian faith
as expressed in the Westminster Confession of Faith.

We are committed to the church,
believing that the gospel has to be embodied and lived out in community.

We are committed to mission
and to reaching those who have had little or no contact with vital Christianity.

We are committed to Scotland,
believing that our nation’s greatest need is to rediscover the liberating truth of the gospel.

We are committed to being culturally connected
so that the gospel can be effectively heard, believed, shared and lived out in our society.

We are committed to partnership
with other churches and organisations that share our vision and ethos.

Our Ethos

Our great desire is to obey Christ’s Great Commission (Matthew 28;29-20).  We believe this represents a call to plant churches. We believe that authentic discipleship means incorporation into a worshipping Christian community where there will be teaching, administration of the sacraments and accountability (Acts 2:41-47). We believe in planting churches that are committed to replicating themselves and that have church planting built into their genetic code. We believe in establishing churches where the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ permeates all actions and activities.
